During its first anniversary, the magazine 'How to spend it' has organized a charity initiative, inviting some important Italian brands to interpret its cover in a creative way. Rimadesio participates with 'New Life', a handmade work created by Giuseppe Bavuso, who took inspiration from kintsugi, a Japanese technique providing for the restoration of broken objects, by combining together the pieces with a resin mixed with gold, silver or platinum.
The relevance of this technique, which over time has become a real 'Art', is really deep: according to the philosophy of kintsugi, the broken and then repaired object is actually a metaphor for life and the changes that are part of it.
After the show at Mudec in Milan, the works has been auctioned online. The proceeds from the auction has been donated to 'Save the Children' for the realization of an Italian project.

Rimadesio is among the brands of the made in Italy furniture signing the Mandarin Oriental in Milan, the first Italian hotel of the prestigious chain founded in Hong Kong in 1963. The studio Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel Interiors designed for each of the hotel suites, an original solution in glass, dividing the room from the wellness bathroom area. The partition is made by the Velaria sliding panels with mirror glass and anodized profile in a sample colour, which are alternated with fixed glass panels equipped with a liquid crystal technology. Through an electrical impulse, it makes the surface opaque, according to the requested need for privacy. A supply that confirms the technical versatility and reliability of Rimadesio.

Personal Design is the name of the projectdeveloped by ‘Paolo Frello & Partners’ for Allianz Bank. Each of the more than one hundred office units, spread out throughout Italy, are equipped with different furniture, customized according to the specific needs of each Group's Senior Banker. A unique project, following on one side the typical dynamics of an end customer, such as the analysis of the style and methods of work of the individual, and on the other side the size of the contract, related to improving the organization and management of the supply. The Rimadesio showroom in Milan hosted the official presentation of the 'Basketball Aurora Desio' team, who will play the next Italian 2015/2016 championship of Serie B. Many sport guests, from journalists to public people, among them Sergio Scariolo, current coach of the Spanish national team, who has won the European championship. Palazzo Morando, in the center of Milan, has been chosen for the occasion. The project of the Munich showroom, designed by Giacomo Fossati, offers a complete overview of the Rimadesio collection, where the swing doors and the sliding systems are perfectly integrated with new furniture complements. The architectural choices, the materials and the original layout of the products give to the space an image much closer to a contemporary domestic landscape.
From Sail the perfectly double-sided sliding doors, to the system of tables Long Island, to the freestanding Cover, the self-supporting evolution of the program Cover. The first one of cultural significance, dedicated to Dante Alighieri, on the occasion of his 750th anniversary; the second one, of playful, was a collaboration with Volvo for an experience of virtual reality related to the automotive world. To act as frame, the different proposals of furniture signed by Giuseppe Bavuso, including Manta table, the Eileen sideboard , the Flat table, the Wind bookcase and some pieces of the Sixty collection.

During the Piano City Milan event, the Rimadesio flagship store in Via Visconti di Modrone has hosted an original musical performance played at four hands on one design piano. Designed by architects Raffaella Mangiarotti and Matteo Bazzicalupo, founders of the study Deepdesign, the piano-dining table,with a simple and rigorous design, has been entirely made by Rimadesio. The Yamaha keyboards slide concealed under a large white glass top. Players of the concert event have been the the famous American jazz songs, reinterpreted by the musicians Marco Confalonieri and Yazan Greselin.

The Wind bookcase system was awarded the prize 'Red Dot Award 2015' in the category 'Living rooms and bedrooms'.
Established in 1955, Red Dot Award rewards international designers and companies, that express the best quality and innovation of the project. Wind, design Giuseppe Bavuso, made entirely of aluminum, is a modular system, combining aesthetic lightness and technology. The focus of the project is represented by the joint between extruded shelves and die-casting uprights, in central or terminal position, that with their exclusive design define the aesthetics of the system.
